Celebrities are often subjected to relentless trolling, whether for their statements or their choice of clothes. In recent times, many have also become victims of identity theft, with morphed images going viral. While celebrities feel the pressure to stay active on social media, some like Saif Ali Khan and Ranbir Kapoor prefer to stay away from it. However, in a recent interview, Neha Dhupia shared how Saif monitors negative comments about himself on social media using a fake Instagram account.
In an interview with Zoom, Neha recalled a conversation with Saif from a few years ago while discussing the rise of online hate. She said, “Five or six years ago, during an interview on my show, I was talking to Saif about trolling. He said that although he is not on social media, he has a private account, and sometimes he reads the things written about him. He said it is going to get so bad that there will be policing to an extent where the cybercrime department will track people. And it is getting there; people have been found.”
