The post alleged that Aneet has strong ties to the film industry, identifying her parents as Nitya Mehra and Karan Kapadia. Nitya was the director of the Bollywood film Baar Baar Dekho starring Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra. Nitya and Karan also co-created the Amazon Prime Video series Big Girls Don’t Cry, in which Aneet played one of the lead roles.
