After the pandemic disrupted their plans to shoot in the United Kingdom last March, the cast and crew of Dostana 2 were to head to London this month for the third and final schedule. Considering it was to be an extensive shoot, the production team had taken dates from lead actors Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and Laksh Lalwani as early as last October. However, looks like second time is not the charm — the stint stands deferred again as the UK has gone into a lockdown to curb the spread of the new strain of the virus.  

A source says, “Shooting in the UK looks difficult in the near future. So, the producers and director Collin D’Cunha are exploring whether they can change the location altogether. While Janhvi is currently filming Good Luck Jerry, Kartik is prepping for his next. The final call on the next schedule of Dostana 2 will be taken by the month-end.” The Karan Johar-backed romance comedy is a standalone sequel to the 2008 hit of the same name.
