Just weeks after going on the floors, sources say Eetha shoot has been called off for two weeks after Shraddha Kapoor reportedly fractures her toe while filming a dance number

Vithabai Narayangaonkar and Shraddha Kapoor
Quick Read
November was meant to be showtime for Shraddha Kapoor, who began filming for Eetha, a biopic on legendary Tamasha artiste Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar, in Aundhewadi near Nashik (Behind the curtain, before the Tamasha, Nov 6). But last week, director Laxman Utekar had to hit pause on his film after Kapoor fractured a toe on her left foot.
The injury happened while she was performing the Lavani, a folk dance form that Narayangaonkar was known for. A source shares, “Lavani music characteristically has fast-paced beats and a quick tempo. In this number composed by Ajay-Atul, Shraddha — sporting a vibrant Nauvari saree, heavy jewellery, and a kamarpatta — had to perform a series of steps in succession, to the beats of the dholki. To look the part of a young Vithabai, the actor has put on over 15 kilos. In one step, she mistakenly put all her weight on her left foot, and lost her balance as a result.”
