Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi as Munnabhai and Circuit are possibly one of the most popular characters in Hindi cinema. While audiences have been waiting to see them return on screen as their popular characters for years, Sanjay Dutt shared a happy announcement for fans. On Thursday, Dutt took to his social media handle to unveil the first look of his upcoming film with Arshad Warsi.

Announcing the film with a poster, Sanjay Dutt wrote on Instagram, "Our wait has been longer than yours but the wait is finally over, coming together with my brother Arshad Warsi for yet another exciting movie... Can't wait to show you, stay tuned!" In the first look, both Sanjay and Arshad are seen behind bars dressed in black-and-white jail uniforms.

The yet-untitled film is directed by Sidhaant Sachdev and is produced by Sanjay Dutt's production house. The film will be released in 2023.

As soon as Sanjay Dutt made the announcement, fans took to the comment section to express their joy on seeing them reunite. “Munna Bhai (Sanjay Dutt) aur Circuit (Arshad Warsi) ek sath (together again)," wrote a fan. Another fan who was confident of the outcome of the film, wrote, "It’s going to be the best movie of all time."

It was in 2003 that Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi played Munnabhai and Circuit in the film 'Munnabhai M.B.B.S' directed by Rajkumar Hirani. They later came together to reprise their roles in the 2006 sequel 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'. While the makers did announce a third part, there has been no concrete update on that front.
