Hansal Mehta has voiced his criticism against the newly introduced mandate that requires OTT platforms to include a disclaimer regarding smoking or tobacco products. With a touch of sarcasm, he referred to it as a "progressive decision." Hansal Mehta, known for directing popular series like Netflix`s `Scoop` and SonyLIV`s `Scam 1992,` took to Twitter to express his thoughts.
On Wednesday, he posted, "Yes. The only reason tobacco products and smoking kill is our shows/films. By putting these tickers, we will have healthy people who don`t smoke. Very progressive decision."
