Talk in tinsel town is that Deepika Padukone is likely to star opposite Mahesh Babu in SS Rajamouli’s next. While there is no official word on this, sources claim that discussions have begun between the RRR maker and the Gehraiyaan actor. It is known that Rajamouli is making a globe-trotting adventure with the Maharshi actor, and the former’s father, veteran writer KV Vijayendra Prasad is working on the script that is reportedly based on a real-life event. If all goes well, the yet-untitled film will be Deepika’s second magnum opus from the south. She is presently working on Nag Ashwin’s Project K with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. Interestingly, when reports of Rajamouli’s next with Mahesh first appeared earlier this year, it was being said that the filmmaker would repeat Alia Bhatt after she played Ram Charan’s leading lady in RRR. Though the Mahesh-starrer is slated to start around mid-2023, wonder if the makers opted for Deepika since Alia is expected to take a maternity break from the movies.
