Actor Priyanka Chopra is wearing two very different hats — as an actor and a producer — pushing herself across genres while backing stories that strike a personal chord. Her latest venture, the documentary Born Hungry, traces celebrity chef Sash Simpson’s journey from abandonment in India to adoption in Canada, and global culinary acclaim. On her decision to back the film, Priyanka told PTI, “As an actor and as a producer, my hats are kind of different. And my brain splits into two. I think as an actor, I’m constantly trying to challenge myself. As a producer, I’m empathetic. My production side kind of comes from what personally moves me.”
