Have you heard? Actor R Madhavan recently opened up about insecurities, saying he would feed generations if residuals existed. Meanwhile, Tumbbad 2 has started shooting

Actor R Madhavan recently voiced concern over the absence of residuals (royalty) in the Hindi film industry, stressing that it leaves artistes financially insecure and risk-averse. Speaking on Akshaye Rathi’s podcast, he said, “If I was a Hollywood actor, and I had the number of hits that I’ve had in my life, do you think there would be a second thought before I jumped into a risky project? I would jump into it in an instant.” Citing Rang De Basanti (2006), 3 Idiots (2009), and Tanu Weds Manu (2011), he added these films alone could have “fed generations” if residuals existed. Madhavan also noted that faulty payments are rarely challenged, and called for judicial support to uphold contracts to ensure fair compensation.
