The shoot of Shah Rukh Khan’s King, directed by Siddharth Anand, is finally underway. The team started shooting the action-packed entertainer at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai on May 21 (Princess takes charge, King yet to arrive, May 21). According to insiders, the first day of filming featured a scene with SRK, Suhana Khan, and Saurabh Shukla, with a packed schedule from 9 am to 9 pm. The team is set to shoot through the week. While the shoot has only recently begun, latest reports suggest that the team has already finalised the release date of the actioner. It is apparently being scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 2, 2026, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Trade experts are excited with the choice of date, given its alignment with a national holiday. According to trade sources, following the superstar’s record-breaking 2023, industry insiders are expecting that the superstar will deliver yet another box-office blockbuster. The film features an ensemble cast, including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and Rani Mukerji.
