Long before fame and fortune, Sidharth Malhotra’s journey in Mumbai was defined by grit, struggle, and simple meals. The actor recently revealed that his go-to food during those days was sweet potatoes, which he ate regularly to stay fit and save money. “Sweet potato mera patent breakfast tha — protein aur carb intake ke liye, aur sasta tha bohot,” he shared in a chat with Nayandeep Rakshit. He recalled living in small apartments, facing repeated rejections, and hustling for opportunities while trying to make ends meet. He also said that surviving in the city was challenging as he had no family support, but it taught him resilience long before Student of the Year (2012) changed his life.
