Veteran actor and politician Hema Malini started her Friday morning on a nostalgic note as she penned a heartfelt tribute for her "amma" on her birth anniversary. The actress said that she celebrates her mother`s birth anniversary every year and credited her for shaping her career. Along with the heartfelt post, Hema Malini also shared an old picture of her dressed in a Bharatanatyam costume playfully posing with her mother. 

Thanking her mother for shaping her career, Hema Malini in an Instagram post wrote, "It is that day of the year closest to my heart!
