Ileana D`Cruz has revealed that she was offered to reprise her role in Ajay Devgn-starrer thriller Raid 2. When she did not accept it, the role went to Vaani Kapoor

Bollywood actress Ileana D’Cruz who is currently expecting her second child has revealed that she was offered the film Raid 2 to reprise her role opposite Ajay Devgn. This comes almost a month after the release of the film in theatres. In the film, Ileana as replaced by Vaani Kapoor and the move had raised eyebrows over the female cast getting replaced as the male cast retains their character.

However, Ileana revealed that she was offered Raid 2 but had to let go as she wanted to priortise her family as a new mother. On Sunday early morning,the actress treated her fans to a question and answer session, where a user said that they missed the actress in `Raid 2` and in Indian films. The user also asked about her comeback.

Ileana replied, “I miss working in movies too and I would have loved to be a part of Raid 2. Raid was a special film but Malini was such a special character to play and working with my director Raj Kumar Gupta was a wonderful experience as was working with Ajay again,” she said.
