Known for stirring tracks like Teri Mitti, Maaye, and Mann Bharya, his voice has become synonymous with songs that make hearts swell with pride. As India celebrates its 79th Independence Day, B Praak opens up about the meaning of the day, the role of music in preserving patriotism, and the deep creative process behind his most moving work.
For B Praak, the day is also a reminder of his responsibility towards the nation as an artist. "It's a day that makes me feel even more accountable as an artist since music can uplift people's spirits and create unity. Over the years, I’ve had the honour to sing several patriotic songs, which makes this day even closer to my heart."
The singer says that music is one of the most powerful ways to connect emotionally. The Teri Mitti singer feels that patriotic songs can make you feel the struggles experienced to get India its freedom and have a sense of pride. "Songs may inspire feelings of pride, suffering, and love for the nation even if they haven't experienced the hardships of independence," he says
