Punjabi global superstar Diljit Dosanjh has further consolidated his global popularity and prowess, as the actor-singer has landed a nomination in the International Emmy Awards. The nominations include Diljit Dosanjh for Best Performance by an Actor and Amar Singh Chamkila for the TV Movie/Mini-Series category. The film was celebrated for its direction, extraordinary acting by the cast, and music created by the maestro AR Rahman, with Irshad Kaamil penning the lyrics.

The actor has been nominated for Best Actor in a Lead Role for his work in the biopic. The Hindi biographical drama film was directed and co-written by Imtiaz Ali, and starred Diljit Dosanjh in the titular role of Chamkila and Parineeti Chopra as his wife Amarjot.
