Atlee's much-anticipated Jawan is now running in theatres. Headlined by Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and others, it is being hailed as one of the finest mass entertainers. There were rumours that Vijay could feature in a cameo in the actioner. However, in an interview with DTNext, director Atlee clarified that Thalapathy has no role to play in Jawan.

During the interview, Atlee confirmed his cameo in Jawan. He said, "Vijay sir is not playing a cameo in the film. If that were the case, I would have announced it myself. Perhaps, I am planning a movie that will feature both of these actors in lead roles. In fact, I played a cameo in Jawan." In fact, Sanjay Dutt will be seen in a special appearance in Jawan.
