Kajol has had a solid run at the movies in recent years. While the actress had reduced her number of film appearances after welcoming her children, she is now back in full form. In 2025 alone, she has already had two big releases and has some exciting projects lined up.

Kajol began 2025 with the film Maa, which is part of the Shaitaan universe. It marked her first foray into the horror genre and was co-produced by her husband, Ajay Devgn. In the film, she plays a fiercely protective mother to a young girl.

Next, she appeared in the direct-to-OTT release Sarzameen, which premiered last month. Directed by Kayoze Irani, the film saw Kajol once again portraying a fiercely protective and loyal mother- this time to a son. She was paired opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran, marking her first collaboration with the Malayalam superstar. The movie also featured Ibrahim Ali Khan as the son of Kajol and Prithviraj.
