Shanaya Kapoor will now make her Hindi debut with the web series on Student of The year, Karan Johar's popular movie franchise

Earlier it was revealed that Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor's daughter Shanaya Kapoor will make her debut with Dharma Productions film 'Bedhadak' along with Lakshya Lalwani and Gurfateh Pirzada. But it seems like the film has been scrapped and Karan Johar has different plans for Shanaya's Hindi debut. Johar had introduced Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra into world of acting with his 2012 film 'Student of The Year'. In 2019, he took the film forward sand introduced Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in the sequel. Now, he plans to introduce Shanaya as a student albeit with some changes.

New and Revamped Student of The Year:
According to a report in Pinkvilla, Karan Johar is turning the 'Student of the year' movie franchise into a web series along with Disney+ Hotstar. With the series, he plans to launch Shanaya Kapoor. The film will mark her debut in the OTT space as she will be making her acting debut with the pan-India film 'Vrushabha' alongside superstar Mohanlal. The film was announced a couple of days ago.
As for 'Student Of The Year 3', the pre-production work ins reportedly going on in full swing. The shoot of the series is expected to start at the end of the year and is being handled by Dharma's digital content vertical, Dharmatic entertainment
Shanaya's wait for her debut:
The 23-year-old star kid has been patiently waiting for her acting debut. She was initially supposed to make her grand debut with Shashank Khaitan-directed love triangle 'bedhadak'. Howevre, the film has been shelved dur to script issues. The young star kid will now make her acting debut with a pan-India actioner with Mohanlal . The pan-India film will be helmed by Nanda Kishore and also star Roshan Meka and Zahrah S Khan. According to a press release, the actor will play a pivotal role who "bridges the gap between past and present timelines of this epic action entertainer".
"I am highly excited to face the camera and begin shooting, there will be so much to learn and explore from this film. The storyline is a fascinating one which has stayed with me. Also, the film has all big names associated with it, and is being made on a massive scale, it's the kind of role any young actor would be excited, and inspired to play. Especially so early in one's career. It's a dream come true. And with Mohanlal sir on board, I feel honoured to be a part of 'Vrushabha'. Extremely grateful," Shanaya said in a statement.
