<p><strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/television-news/article/cannes-2025-tv-actor-karan-tacker-debut-tanvi-the-great-anupam-kher-23541624" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Karan Tacker</a></strong> can&rsquo;t stop smiling after attending the world premi&egrave;re of his first theatrical film, Tanvi: The Great, at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. It also marks the actor&rsquo;s debut appearance at the festival. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s exciting to represent India and a film that&rsquo;s true to its origin on a platform like this. It was nerve-wracking to showcase our film to a large audience, but still a proud moment for me and the entire team,&rdquo; says the actor.</p>

<p>Directed by <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/bollywood-news/article/anupam-kher-congratulates-robert-de-niro-palme-d-or-cannes-2025-23544586" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Anupam Kher</a></strong>, Tanvi: The Great also stars Shubhangi Dutt, Arvind Swami, and Scottish actor Iain Glen. Tacker says Kher&rsquo;s extensive acting experience shaped his directorial style. &ldquo;He&rsquo;s a sensitive director. He understands where an actor is coming from,&rdquo; he adds.</p>
<p>Tacker is also set to reprise his role as intelligence officer Farooqi in Neeraj Pandey&rsquo;s Special Ops 2. He admits the wait for the second edition &mdash; shot over a year ago &mdash; has been long. &ldquo;I love the universe of spies, espionage and action. While being very tough to shoot, action is also exciting and it gives you a rush.
