After making controversial remarks regarding vegetarianism, actor and filmmaker Kunal Kapoor—son of the late Shashi Kapoor and uncle to Ranbir Kapoor—found himself at the center of a social media maelstrom. Many social media users have called his comments, which he made during a discussion on Pooja Bhatt`s podcast, offensive and entitled.
"I think vegetarians are racist," Kunal said simply during the conversation. "So, I`m a racist?" Pooja Bhatt asked, chuckling. He reiterated that, as a non-vegetarian, he feels left out. He claims that while he provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine to his visitors at home, he is not treated equally when he visits vegetarian homes, which he considers to be unjust.
