Veteran filmmaker M M Baig was found dead at his home in Andheri West in Mumbai, confirmed his publicist Hanif Zaveri. His body was found by the local police. He was the father of popular yesteryear child artist Baby Guddu aka Shahinda Baig. The veteran filmmaker was involved with films such as Razia Sultan and directed Chhoti Bahu. He was in his 70s.
The senior filmmaker was unwell for quite sometime and was reportedly living alone. His publicist told PTI that the neighboours raised alarm after a foul smell started coming from his apartment. "He was unwell for quite some time. Since, he didn't come out of the house for four-five days, the neighbours complained to the cops about a foul place coming from his house," Zaveri told PTI.
