Madhuri Dixit was a top name in the country in the 1980s and 1990s. The Dhak Dhak girl was almost at the peak of her career when she made a rather gutsy decision to move to a city and a country where people were barely aware of her identity and fame. After marrying cardiovascular surgeon Dr Shriram Nene in 1999, Madhuri moved to the US and started living a simple family life, one she says she enjoyed.

During her recent appearance on mid-day’s Sit With Hitlist, Madhuri spilt the beans on what it was like to live a life away from the spotlight.
