Model and actor  Muzammil Ibrahim recently opened up about dating leading actress Deepika Padukone during their early modelling days. For the unversed, Deepika moved to Mumbai in the early 2000s and started modelling before stepping foot in the acting world. Around the same time, Muzammil was also establishing himself as a model, having appeared in a few music videos back then. During a recent interview, the Dhokha actor claimed to be in a relationship with Deepika for two years at the start of her career. Muzammil recalled not having money during their early days and hence would go on dates in a rickshaw. He also revealed that two years later, he broke up with her.

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kanan, Muzammil recalled, "We were very good friends, and we still are. She is a very nice girl. We dated during our modelling days. We did a show for Tommy Hilfiger together. And she had seen me in Gladrags, Pardesiya, and all of that, and liked me a lot. That is how we met."
