Abhay Verma, Sharvari Wagh and Mona Singh-starrer horror-comedy 'Munjya' hit the theatres on Friday. The film which does not have a major star cast surprised all with its box office performance on day 1. Coming from the horror-comedy universe of 'Stree' and 'Bhediya', Munjya has been directed by debutant Aditya Sarpotdar. The film earned Rs 4.21 crore at the box office in India on opening day. This is a great sign considering that the film does not have an A-list cast and had very limited pre-release promotion. 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his social media handle to share the box office update on the film.
