It`s been nearly two decades since the last installment of the Munnabhai franchise was released. For years, the team behind the film namely director Rajkumar Hirani, actors Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani have been asked about the third part of the film. While there has been no definite answer from the team, every now and then reports of the team uniting for the third part surface.

Now, once again Sanjay Dutt who plays the titular role of Munnabhai in the film, has dropped a hint regarding the future film. While sharing the trailer of writer-producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra`s next film `12th Fail`, Dutt mentioned the Munnabhai franchise.
