Producer Naga Vamsi addressed rumours about suffering massive losses after distributing War 2 in Telugu. He clarified that he bought the film for Rs 68 crore, earned around Rs 35–40 crore, and received an Rs 18 crore refund from Yash Raj Films

In August, Ayan Mukerji`s Telugu film War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, was distributed by producer Naga Vamsi. At a pre-release function in Hyderabad to commemorate NTR`s Bollywood debut, he promoted the movie. In an interview with Great Andhra, Vamsi broke his silence amid rumors that he had invested Rs 100 crore and would suffer massive losses following the film`s failure.
There has been a chatter around Vamsi suffering "huge losses" ever since War 2 opened in theaters on August 14 and earned Rs 56.74 crore in Telugu in India out of a net total of Rs 236.55 crore. It was also thought by some that he had invested about Rs 100 crore and was having trouble recovering from the losses.
