Paresh Rawal recently completed four decades in the industry and will be celebrating his birthday on May 30. However, this time, his special day comes while he is in hot water. Rawal has been making headlines for his abrupt exit from Hera Pheri 3, but this isn’t the first time he`s grabbed attention due to his actions and controversial statements. Ahead of Paresh Rawal`s birthday, here are some moments when he made headlines.
It was very recently, during an interview with The Lallantop, that he admitted to sipping his own urine like beer. This happened after Paresh injured his leg and was rushed to the hospital. The actor said, “Veeru Devgan came to see me at Nanavati. When I told him about my injury, he said, ‘Drink your own urine first thing in the morning. All fighters do this. You’ll heal faster.’ He also told me to avoid alcohol, tobacco, and mutton, and just stick to regular food.”
In 2017, Rawal tweeted about an incident where the Indian Army used a Kashmiri stone pelter as a human shield by tying him to a jeep. At the time, the then-BJP MP controversially suggested that writer Arundhati Roy should have been tied to the vehicle instead. “Instead of tying a stone pelter on the army jeep, tie Arundhati Roy!” he had written. The tweet triggered a wave of backlash for Rawal.
