It was very recently, during an interview with The Lallantop, that he admitted to sipping his own urine like beer. This happened after Paresh injured his leg and was rushed to the hospital. The actor said, “Veeru Devgan came to see me at Nanavati. When I told him about my injury, he said, ‘Drink your own urine first thing in the morning. All fighters do this. You’ll heal faster.’ He also told me to avoid alcohol, tobacco, and mutton, and just stick to regular food.”

In 2017, Rawal tweeted about an incident where the Indian Army used a Kashmiri stone pelter as a human shield by tying him to a jeep.
