Actor and comedian Rajiv Thakur is a known face among the television audience. He recently spoke about how the fate of an artist lies in audience acceptance. While elaborating on the same, he took a dig at Uday Chopra, who, despite his background in the movies, could not make it as an actor. He said that at the end of the day, it is the audience who decides the fate of an actor.
During a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Rajiv Thakur recalled his days of struggling which started in his hometown of Amritsar, Punjab. "I have always charted my own path in life, even back in Amritsar. When the auditions for Laughter Challenge opened up, I was the one who filled in Chandan (Prabhakar’s) application. He didn’t want to do it, but I insisted that all us friends would do it together. Even today, if I get the chance to put the spotlight on one of my friends, I take it. But only those whose talent I believe in."
