 Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao found himself in a legal soup recently. A court hearing was held against the actor regarding a controversial poster during the promotion of his film Behen Hogi Teri in 2017. The hearing was reportedly held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in Jalandhar. However, the actor did not appear in the hearing, according to his advocate, Darshan Singh Dayal.

Rajkummar Rao surrenders before court

Advocate Darshan Dayal shared details of the Rajkummar Rao case, stating that in 2017, a poster of Shiva in the film triggered anger among a section of people. Back then, a case was registered against actors Rajkummar Rao, Shruti Hassan, along with the producer, director and deputy director of the film.

According to ANI, advocate Darshan Dayal said, "The FIR was registered under Section 295A (act done with the intention of inciting religious sentiments), Section 120B (criminal conspiracy) and Section 67 of the IT Act, due to which non-bailable warrants were also issued against the actor."
