Roshni Walia recently made her big screen debut with Son of Sardaar 2. She essayed the role of Mrunal Thakur’s step-daughter Saba in the film. While the film received a lukewarm response, Roshni is glass for the opportunity and had a memorable time. In an exclusive interaction with mid-day, Roshni opens up about her career, troubled childhood, bond with Mrunal Thakur and dealing with trolls.
When asked about her journey of bagging Son Of Sardaar 2, the actress gushes, “I still remember auditioning and forgetting about it because I’d given so many auditions without hearing back. Then, one day, I got a call from Mukesh Chhabra saying they liked me and the director wants to meet me. When I got the film, my initial reaction was just processing it. My mom had recently undergone surgery, and we were at the hospital for her check-up when I got the call from Mukesh sir. They liked my comic timing, and that’s how it all happened. He also told me I have a huge responsibility because so much of what happens in the film.”
