What was meant to be a controlled build-up to the sequel to the cult classic, Awarapan (2007), has turned into damage control. After unauthorised images and videos from a Rajasthan shoot surfaced online, the makers have swiftly moved to restrict access and prevent further leaks.
According to sources close to the production, security has been significantly increased at filming locations in and around Sambhar, Rajasthan, after visuals revealing the lead actor’s altered look surfaced online without approval. The movie features Emraan Hashmi returning as Shivam Pandit, alongside Disha Patani, with Shabana Azmi expected to play the villain. The images, which went viral within hours, caused concern within the unit.
