Netflix has announced the sequel to the crime thriller franchise Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders today. The second installment will see Honey Trehan return to the Director`s chair and Smita Singh resume her role as the film’s writer. Produced by RSVP and MacGuffin Pictures, the film marks the highly anticipated return of Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the sharp, no-nonsense Inspector Jatil Yadav, alongside an acclaimed cast that includes Chitrangada Singh, Rajat Kapoor, Deepti Naval, Ila Arun, Revathy, Akhilendra Mishra, Priyanka Setia, Sanjay Kapoor, and Radhika Apte.

Set a few years after the events of the first film, which was released in 2020 to positive reception, Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders follows Inspector Jatil Yadav as he is drawn into another complex investigation, a chilling case of murder committed in cold blood. This leads to the unravelling of long-buried secrets within a powerful family. As the mystery deepens, Jatil is once again compelled to confront the delicate balance between truth and consequence.
