Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan auction personal items from their wardrobe for a virtual charity pop-up event

The value of something is often known when it is lost. “The past year has made me value my loved ones and sharpened my perspective about what’s important in life,” says Soha Ali Khan, who is coming together with mother Sharmila Tagore for a virtual charity event to mark Mother’s Day.
While several have come forward to aid those affected by the pandemic by sourcing medicines, oxygen cylinders and food, the mother-daughter duo have shared their personal closets for a pop-up charity sale for animal care. “Even though we are home-bound, we can all find ways to contribute. Clearing our closets is a concrete way to help raise funds. [This is also] our bit for environmental conservation. Proceeds from the sale will go to the [Pataudi Trust] and World For All — an NGO whose work for animal welfare through the pandemic has been admirable,” explains Khan.
