Shraddha Kapoor is kicking off 2026 at full throttle. The actor is in the final stretch of shooting a physically demanding biopic and has little time to pause before plunging into a long-awaited fantasy adventure.
While wrapping Eetha, industry insiders reveal that preparations are already underway for her next big project &mdash; the fantasy film <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/bollywood-news/article/Shraddha-Kapoor-all-set-to-play-a-naagin-says-its-an-absolute-delight-23066207" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Naagin</a>, expected to go on floors by April.
According to sources close to the production, Eetha, directed by Laxman Utekar, is scheduled to wrap by March end, following a brief pause in filming due to Shraddha&rsquo;s injury during a dance sequence.&nbsp;
The film, which sees her portraying legendary Tamasha and Lavani performer Vithabai Narayangaonkar, has required months of physical training.
&ldquo;Shraddha has been deeply invested in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/bollywood-news/article/eetha-shoot-called-off-after-shraddha-kapoor-fractures-her-toe-23604344" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Eetha</a>. The role is physically gruelling and emotionally intense, but she is keen to finish the film within the schedule. The makers are confident of wrapping by March,&rdquo; a production source tells mid-day.
Almost immediately after, the actor is set to switch gears. &ldquo;Naagin has been in development for a long time, and the team wanted to get everything right &mdash; from the VFX design to the casting. With Shraddha locked in, the rest of the cast has fallen into place. The plan is to start shooting by April,&rdquo; A source reveals.
