Ten years ago, as Shweta Tripathi starred in Masaan (2015), she saw how the film propelled the careers of many, including that of director Neeraj Ghaywan, actors Vicky Kaushal, Richa Chadha, and her. As the acclaimed film completed a decade on July 24, Tripathi felt ready to launch her own production house, Bandarful. It’s more than a business move; she says the decision comes from the desire to create a space where talent meets opportunity.

“Right from the beginning, I’ve had support from people like Guneet Monga [Kapoor], Anurag Kashyap, and Karan Johar. I never felt like an outsider. I’m happy that filmmakers took a chance on me. They saw beyond the stereotypes and noticed the talent in me. Now, I want to see that in others and give them a platform,” says the new producer.
