He reportedly died in a scuba diving incident, however, the investigations are currently underway into his death case. Amid the ongoing investigations, the island in Singapore where the singer tragically passed away has been renamed `Zubeen Garg Island` on Google Maps.
Zubeen was reportedly attending the North East India Festival in Singapore, where he went swimming off St. John’s Island during a yacht outing. According to reports, he fell victim to a fatal accident while scuba diving, which led to his untimely death. Despite being rushed to Singapore General Hospital, he could not be revived. The incident shocked everyone in India and beyond, leading to protests, FIRs, and a high-profile investigation.
