Sunny Leone becomes Bollywood’s first leading lady to launch her NFTs; to sell digital assets that include personal artworks

From Jay Z to Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, celebrities in the West have jumped on the NFT — or non-fungible token — bandwagon. It was only a matter of time before the practice of selling digital assets would make waves in Bollywood. Sunny Leone has become the first Bollywood heroine to roll out her line of NFTs. The actor, through her website, will sell a collection of personally curated artworks.
Hoping to stay ahead of the curve by gravitating towards digital assets, she says, “In this ever-changing world of releasing content and selling unlockable content, we thought it would be interesting if fans could experience this. Cryptocurrency is here to stay. We felt it would be smart to jump into a world that’s changing rapidly, and we hope to evolve with it.” Her NFTs are expected to launch in the next fortnight.
