Pan-India actor Tamannaah Bhatia, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Odela 2 addressed the ‘milky beauty’ tag that she’s often associated with. During an event for the film’s promotion, Tamannaah had an empowering response when asked why she was chosen to play the role of Shivashakti. 

Tamannaah’s response to being called ‘milky beauty’

A journalist asked, “Why did you think a milky beauty could be Shivashakti?”, to which Tamannaah replied, “Your question ma’am has the answer in it.” Pointing at the makers, she added, “He doesn’t look at a milky beauty as something that has to be shamed or to feel bad about, glamour in a woman is to be celebrated and we women must celebrate ourselves, then we can expect others to celebrate us”.
