Even as the release of The Kerala Story 2 has been stayed by the Kerala High Court, tickets for the film continue to appear available on online booking platforms, leaving audiences confused about its actual release status.
The High Court recently granted a 15 day interim stay on the film’s release, observing that there appeared to be a non application of mind by the Central Board of Film Certification while granting it a U A certificate. The bench noted that certification guidelines, particularly those concerning communal harmony and public order, may not have been adequately considered. The stay came in response to petitions challenging the film’s clearance and raising concerns about its content.
