Tuesday Trivia: Kriti Sanon was roped in 2014 to star opposite Shahid Kapoor in Raj & DK`s `Farzi`. While initially planned as a film, it was finally made as a web series

Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in their upcoming yet-untitled film scheduled to hit the theatres in December. While the first poster of the film reflects an interesting chemistry between the pair, did you know they were roped in earlier to work on a film with Raj & DK. The film was, however, not made and was converted into a series that we today know as `Farzi`.
Raj and DK`s `Farzi` was released on Prime Video earlier this year with Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi and Raashii Khanna in prominent roles. But years ago, the filmmaker duo had plans to make it as a film with Shahid, Kriti and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead. Back in 2014, there were reports of the film going on floors by the end of the year and the pre-production was going in full force. The cast and the script was locked. However, the makers later decided to turn it into a web series which was released almost a decade later in 2023.
