She was recently seen in Celebrity Masterchef, where she got candid about her life struggles. In a recent podcast, she expressed disappointment towards the casting and audition culture. She recalls rejecting Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy after she was asked for audition.

In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Usha said, “They asked me, ‘Do you want the role? Then come to our office and give an audition.’ I asked them, ‘What have I done in 78 years that you are asking me to come and give an audition?’”
