Old classic films are releasing under Valentine's film festival

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and, believe it or not, Instagram is flooded with stories of people enjoying old romantic films on the big screen. If you're wondering how your friends are managing to watch these classics in theatres again, fret not – we have the answers to all your curious minds. 


Yesterday, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram and shared a funny reel that was honestly 'All things Geet.' Through that reel, the actress announced the re-release of her cult film 'Jab We Met' in theatres under the Valentine's Film Festival.


It appears that there's a film festival bringing back our favourite romantic dramas to theatres. So, what is this festival, and what special movies is it bringing to the big screen? Let us tell you. Reportedly, 22 films have been re-released in theatres. The cost of tickets start at Rs 112, and there's a buy-one-get-one offer running in the South. From Bollywood, there are 10 films, including 'Jab We Met' and 'Veer Zara', which are going houseful, along with 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Mohabbatein', 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar', 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety', 'De De Pyaar De', and 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2.'

The South films re-releasing in theatres include 'Premam', 'Hridayam', and 'Ohm Shanthi Oshaana.' Additionally, 'Sita Ramam', 'Tholi Prema', 'Saptha Sagaradaache Ello Side A', 'Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye', 'Vaaranam Aayiram', 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (VTV)', and 'Minnale.'

Popular Punjabi movies such as 'Qismat', 'Angrej', and 'Dil Diya Gallan' have also been re-released in theatres. Besides Indian films, one Hollywood cult classic included in the festival's list is 'Titanic', with limited shows.
