Vatsal Sheth made his Hindi film debut in 2004 with the film ‘Tarzaan- The Wonder Car’. The film directed by Abbas-Mustan also marked the debut of Ayesha Takia. The film boasted a stellar cast including Ajay Devgn, Farida Jalal, Gulshan Grover, Amrish Puri, Shakti Kapoor, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, among others. While the film did not work at the box office, it achieved cult status when it was viewed on TV and OTT. Years later, Vatsal saw a box office dud in `Adipurush`, which was the most anticipated film of the year.

“It is very upsetting,” he says reacting to the failure of `Adipurush` for the first time since its release. The film directed by Om Raut starred Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Saif Ali Khan. Vatsal essayed the role of Indrajit, son of Ravana, a great warrior. “For Adipurush, I put in a lot of effort that I have not put in any of my films or projects to date. I had grown a beard, I had done workshops,” he said talking to mid-day.com
