Veteran actor Prem Chopra has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai. The 89-year-old actor’s health condition is reported to be stable. Dr Jalil Parkar, who is treating him, confirmed the news to mid-day, saying, “Firstly, he has been admitted under Dr Nitin Gokhale, his primary cardiologist. He has certain age-related issues, especially his cardiac ailment, as well as he had a viral infection for which I am a part of the treatment. He is not in the ICU; he is getting better by the day, but naturally, since he is 92 years of age, it takes time for a person to recover. He is not critical.”
When asked when Chopra is expecting to be discharged, Dr Parkar said, “Maybe another 2-3 days or so, because he has been admitted for the last 2 days only. So, maybe 2-3 days.”
