On December 9, a court in Udaipur ordered filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and his wife, Shwetambari, to seven days` police prison for an alleged Rs 30 crore fraud case. On Tuesday, the couple`s lawyer requested that interim bail be granted for medical reasons. However, the court placed them in judicial custody.
According to Advocate Manzoor Hussain, the accused`s lawyer filed an application for interim bail, urging that it be granted on medical grounds. If temporary bail is granted before the court session concludes, both individuals may be released for a brief period to undergo medical treatment. Everything depends on the court`s decision."
