Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and his wife, Shwetambari Bhatt, were taken into custody after a complaint was filed against them by a Udaipur-based doctor, alleging that he was defrauded of crores by the director on the pretext of making a film. The couple had earlier pleaded for bail on medical grounds; however, it was denied. The couple again tried for the same, and as per reports, their bail application has been rejected for the second time.
As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, in a major development in the Rs 30-crore fraud case involving filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, a court in Udaipur on December 24 rejected the bail applications of Bhatt and his wife, Shwetambari Bhatt. This marks the second time that the court has turned down their plea for bail, citing the need for further investigation in the matter.
