Indian art director and film producer Nitin Chandrakant Desai was found dead at his N D Studio in Karjat. At age 57, he left a significant legacy in Indian cinema with his remarkable work in Marathi and Hindi films. Nitin's contributions include iconic movies like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, and ‘Lagaan’, among others.

Throughout his illustrious career spanning two decades, Nitin collaborated with esteemed directors such as Ashutosh Gowarikar, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. His exceptional talent in production design earned him numerous accolades, with four National Film Awards for Best Art Direction and three Filmfare Best Art Direction Awards.
