1st GenerationNasir Hussain, a stalwart in the film fraternity, commenced his career as a writer and producer with the 1953 hit "Anarkali" for Filmistan Studios. Eventually, he launched his production house, Nasir Hussain Films, leaving an indelible mark on Bollywood`s history. His directorial venture, "Yaadon Ki Baraat" (1973), pioneered the iconic Bollywood masala film genre of the 1970s and 1980s. Furthermore, his production "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak" (1988) set the blueprint for romantic musicals that defined the 1990s Hindi cinema. This very film also marked the debut of both Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan, who co-wrote the script in their younger years.

Tahir Hussain, Nasir`s younger brother, also contributed significantly to the film industry as a producer for several movies, including "Caravan" (1971), "Anamika" (1973), and "Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke" (1993). His marriage to Zeenat Hussain resulted in four children: Farhat Khan, Aamir Khan, Faisal Khan, and Nikhat Khan.

2nd GenerationFaisal Khan, son of Tahir Hussain, began his acting journey as a child artist, notably appearing in "Pyar Ka Mausam" and later in a villainous role in "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak." He got his first leading role in the film "Madhosh" (1994), directed by Vikram Bhatt. After a hiatus, Faisal made a comeback alongside his brother in the movie "Mela" (2000).

Nikhat Khan, the daughter of Tahir Hussain, has primarily worked behind the scenes in the film industry. Nikhat`s contributions, although relatively low-key compared to her brother`s, have added to the family`s presence in Bollywood. She is married to Santosh Hegde, and the couple has two children, Seher and Shravan.

Aamir Khan`s journey in Bollywood began with "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak," propelling him to stardom. His subsequent films like "Dil," "Raja Hindustani," and "Sarfarosh" solidified his position as a leading actor in the 1990s. Aamir Khan married Reena Dutta. The marriage lasted from 1986-2002. Together, they had 2 children, Junaid and Ira Khan.

Unfortunately, Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta did not work out. He then married Kiran Rao. The duo share a son named Azad Rao. However, they called it quits in 2021

The Khan-Hussain family`s legacy extends to other relatives in the film industry. For instance, Mansoor Khan, Nasir Hussain`s son, made his directorial debut with the blockbuster "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak" and continued with successful movies like "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander" (1992)

Nuzhat Hussain, the daughter of filmmaker Nasir Hussain, was previously married to actor Raj Zutshi as her second husband. Raj Zutshi became the stepfather to Imran Khan, Nuzhat`s son from her first marriage to Anil Pal. Starting his career as a theatre artist, Raj Zutshi transitioned into films and has appeared in various notable movies such as "Lagaan," "Murder," and "Love Aaj Kal."

3rd GenerationImran Khan, Nuzhat`s son, ventured into acting and gained fame with his debut in "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na" (2008). Imran Khan married Avantika Malik with whom he had a daughter named Imaara. Unfortunately, the two called it quits.

Aamir Khan and Reena Dutt have two children together, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. Aamir`s older son, is preparing for his Bollywood debut, and Ira Khan, who debuted as a theatre director with Euripides` "Medea" prefers to work behind the scenes.

Ira Khan is all set to tie the knot with her beau Nupur Shikhare on January 3, 2024. The two have been dating for a couple of years. In October 2022, during a cycling event, Nupur went down on his knee with a ring in his hand and asked his lady love, "will you marry me?". Ira responded with a `yes` and they sealed the deal with a kiss. The crowd around them were seen cheering and clapping.
