In an unfortunate news for Bunty Walia and his family, the producer`s father Prithi Paul Singh passed away last week. His last rites was held at a cremation ground in Santacruz, Mumbai. The funeral was attended by Walia`s family and close friends. (All pictures: Yogen Shah).

Actor Abhishek Bachchan came to pay their last respect to Walia`s father. The actor was clicked wearing a white kurta and a black nehru jacket. He wore a black mask to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Although, Abhishek and Bunty Walia had not worked together, the latter had collaborated with Abhishek`s father Amitabh Bachchan in the 2005-film Ek Ajnabee. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film also starred Arjun Rampal and Perizaad Zorabian.

Speaking about Bunty Walia, the producer began his journey with the 1998-film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. He continued his collaboration with Salman Khan and Sohail Khan next year with Hello Brother.

He has also produced films like Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002), Ek Ajnabee (2005), Lamhaa (2010) and Chowky (2016).

On the personal front, he had married actress Suman Ranganathan in 2006 but they split in May 2007. He later married Vanessa Parmar in 2012. The couple have two children.
