Alia Bhatt turned producer in 2022 with Netflix`s `Darlings` starring Shefali Shah and Vijay Varma. She launched her production house Eternal Sunshine Productions. She turned executive producer for the web series `Poacher`. She also co-produced the film Jigra in which she also played the titular role. 

Ektaa Kapoor

Often termed as the Czarina of TV, she started her career as a television czarina, took to the producer’s chair with films like ‘Krishna Cottage’, ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’, ‘The Dirty Picture’, ‘Ek Villain’, and ‘Udta Punjab’ to name a few.  She has co-produced most of these projects under Balaji Motion Pictures with her mother Shoba Kapoor, and other eminent producers

She went on to produce films like `Khoobsurat`, `Veere Di Wedding`, and `Thank You for Coming`. Her last film was `Crew` starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu. 

Kriti Sanon

The actress launched her production house, Blue Butterfly Films, in July 2023. Her debut project as a producer was the film `Do Patti`, in which she also stars alongside Kajol. Sanon has expressed that stepping into production allows her to tell stories she truly believes in while exploring creative aspects beyond acting. She joins the growing list of Bollywood actors turning producers, aiming to bring fresh narratives to the industry.

She has scripted history by bringing an Oscar home after she won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Film `Period. End of Sentence`. She bagged another one for producing the documentary short film `The Elephant Whisperers` under her banner Sikhya Entertainment. Over the years she has backed films like `Gangs of Wasseypur`, ‘Masaan’, ‘Pagglait’, and ‘Kathal’ among others.
